An Attitude of Gratitude

By Bill Ryan, The Ryan Whyte Team, RE/MAX Infinity

I love it when I get a letter or email from a client who shares their gratitude for a great experience.  Hearing good news like that makes me feel like an itchy old dog who just got the best ear scratching ever!  It reminds me that we all need that ear scratching now and then, and I become even more committed to reaching out to clients and friends to express MY gratitude.

I've been in the Chandler real estate market for 39 years now, and I'd like to think I've got it dialed in pretty well at this point.  I could not do it without my team:  Cory Whyte, my son-in-law, who has stepped up to take on more of a leadership position within my company; Kerri Wade, my marketing guru, who works tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure we have the best client care and marketing practices in the business; Missy Spoon, who does such a great job putting together our listing packages and managing them from start to finish, and allows me to interrupt her at least 100 times a day; Michelle Carey, our short sale pro who is in the process of learning the closing coordinator position that Kerri has been handling; my property management staff, Neica Adkins and Lila Shell, who make sure our rental properties are handled with complete professionalism; and my 6 other selling and listing agents:  Lisa Ryan Whyte, my daughter and total chip off the old block and mother to 3 of the 5 most beautiful children in the world; Jessica Bays, who along with my son Jared have the other 2 most beautiful children in the world, my grandsons; my son Jeff Ryan who started his real estate career a year ago and who continues to light up my world; and Mitch Tabor, Cathy Carter, and Alita Kalgaard, who have been such an important part of my team as well.  Honestly, each member of this team is part of my family although not necessarily by blood.  And, of course, the woman who has stuck by me for the past 38 years, my wife Sharon.  She's the glue in our family and I appreciate her friendship and companionship every day.

So, back to where I started... I wanted to share the wonderful email from a client whose new home closed this week.

"Brian and would like thank you and Cory for everything. I was very impressed when I first met you and Cory, as I'm sure Brian was when we conferenced him in. We will not hesitate to refer you to any of our friends, family or anyone in need of a REALTOR  I only came across your name when I was reading the newspaper-I believe it was in the Chandler news and I'm so thankful that I called.  Thank you again."  Kim

No, thank YOU Kim and Brian.  I absolutely LOVE what I do and it's because of awesome people like you.

Okay, now, back to scratching ears.
